Remodeling of Cheetham village homes has taken place since 2002. Other efforts have been made to re-construct the area as well. For instance, new pavement and resurfacing for roads, improved lighting CCTV, and creation of new parking bays have all been implemented.

Cheetham was the place to live during Victorian times. The hope is to make it look that way once again. People used to head to the local library for research or attend Swimming Baths for fun.
The assembly rooms were used quite a bit as well. A hospital used to be situation here as well-the North Hospital which unfortunately closed in the mid-1990s.
UP until 2007 Cheetham had been proud of being “The Cream of Manchester”. However, that unfortunately has closed down. It had been bought out by a Swedish brewer before it was torn down.
The efforts to re-vitalise Cheetham and surrounding areas have only begun. More efforts for development in this locate are yet to come. However, other positive aspects of Cheetham and Cheetham Hill are worth noting.
For one, this area is noted for its excellent shopping opportunities. Small shops and boutiques are lined all around the lower part of Cheetham Hill, for example. Retail and wholesale business both are established here, and they offer items such as clothing, jewelry, and furnishings.
Cheetham Hill is located just 3.2 km (2 mi) from the Manchester City Centre. Therefore, it is conveniently located near several different hotels, apartments, and other rentals. Moreover, places of culture and historical interested are located all around.
