The Four Heatons to the Manchester Airport

Heaton Moor is located in the metropolitan borough of Stockport. It includes Heaton Moor and Heaton Mersey, and is about 14 minutes from the Manchester Airport.

Other areas besides Heaton Mersey that border Heaton Moor are Heaton Norris and Heaton Chapel. This area is most characterized by the distinctive, Victorian-style houses.

Heaton Moor is primarily flatland with no rivers or streams flowing through it. However, the soil is dark and rich as it is a location previously composed of peat moor.

The centre of Heaton Moor is located on Heaton Moor Road. The boundary of the railroad line runs along this area.

Heaton Moor has become one of the most desired places to live in the Greater Manchester area. Therefore, the real estate value of homes has increased drastically. A majority of the people who live here are commuters.

Before the railway was established in Heaton Moor it was an agricultural centre. They used to raise pigs and cattle as well as cereal.

Heaton Moor used to be a part of Heaton Norris, which previously consisted of all the Four Heatons (Moor, Norris, Mersey, and Chapel). Several significant landmarks are located within this place.

An evangelical church was also built in the area on Green Lane, and the United Reformed Church still stands in the area.
